This is what Ari looks like "swimming". Its more of jumping and splashing in the water. He's not exactly a natural born swimmer. He took off into the water to steal another dog's ball and swallowed a tummy full of lake water in the process then barfed it up along with half the kibble from breakfast. Awesome.
Mya is more of a water bug. She's actually a really good swimmer, but she's still trouble.
Technically its a Canine Beach and people aren't supposed to swim, but sometimes they do, and its not really a big deal. And sometimes my dog tries to drown children, and it is a big deal.
Ari has a problem deciphering dogs from children. So when this kid chased a ball out into the water, Ari took him out like he would if a dog were chasing a ball.
Despite our shouting, Ari wouldn't let the kid go until his mom jumped in the water fully clothed to save him. The kid was screaming and crying... it was bad. So, being the responsible owners we are, we took pictures and laughed. Come on! The kid was wearing a life jacket! And its not like I was getting in that water... Ari just puked in there!
Yea! He finally got the ball! I guess he showed that kid who the top dog is! Oh, and then they left the dog park.

His swim is kind of like a doggie paddle with LOTS of splashing. People gathered around just to laugh at him swimming. He can make a spectacle of himself even when there are fifty other dogs around.

Next he went after these dogs and their pool toy. Their mom would throw the toy and they would swim out to fetch it. Ari would either snatch it before they got to it or he would snatch it from whoever got to it first. I swear he's just playing. He doesn't know he's being a jack-ass. But these dogs (and their owners) weren't having it. The dogs were growling and the owners were bitching. And finally they took their toy and left.

Oh and sweet Mya!!! She stole another ball from someone and chased it all around the lake. She looked like a kitty pouncing on a ball. Adorable... despite the fact that it was some other dog's ball.

You've almost got it Mya! What a good swimmer! No splashing at all!

Soon after Ari took off across the beach, picked the most crowded part of the lake and ran out into the water and squatted. Yep, it was #2. He pooped in the water that dogs and people were swimming in... and there's our que to leave.

Awww!!! Sweet Mya! She says, "Let's go to McDonalds! I'm hungry!"

HAHAHAHAHA! That was so funny. I was seriously laughing out loud about the kid's mom coming out to save him. You know they went home and bitched to everyone they know about it. Hilarious. I also love that endangering children is not the cue to leave, but pooping in the lake is!
The bin of goodies is a program called Fresh Connect KC. Their website is here: http://www.freshconnectkc.com/
It's a home delivery service of organic or all natural fruits, vegetables, or a mixture of fruits and vegetables. I get the small combo bin of fruits and veggies once every 2 weeks but you can get it once a week, once every 2 weeks or once every month. There are different sizes for different prices as well. Each delivery day they bring it right to your door, anywhere in the KC metro. So far I've been very happy with it, this was our second delivery. It's a LOT of food and our bin is only $25 which is a great deal when you are talking about organic. They are mostly (not ALL) from local farmers so that's pretty cool too. As you can tell, I'm pretty excited about it! :) You can sign up on the website and also check out the different options. Thanks for reading. I'll certainly be blog stalking you from now on!
HAHAHAHA! This might be my favorite post ever!
