Babies!

Is it me or is everyone having babies right now? My friend Nicole (also from Commerce) is having twins!!! Even better, she's having a girl and a boy. How perfect is that? Her shower was last weekend and it was absolutely beautiful! She looked super cute too!



I didn't take enough pictures of the food and decorations, but here's the cake. It was made by the same lady that did Nicole's wedding cake and it was AMAZING!!! You all know how much I like cake! In addition to a beautiful cake, there was a whole spread of delicious brunch fare and a mimosa & bloody mary bar. Yum!

More of my Commerce friends were there! Going right from me: Katrina, Kelly, Nicole, Lisa, and Megan. I love all these girls so much! Kelly & Lisa were the hostesses. Kelly is like the best party planner ever. I knew the shower would be perfect with her in charge! She's promised to throw my shower in 5-7 years!

Tomorrow Nicole is having "belly shots" done and I get to go! She used the same wedding photographer as Drew & I. http://www.sorellimages.com Sarah just moved into a new studio in downtown Overland Park! In addition to belly shots, Nicole will be having family pictures with her husband Ken and her furry kids, Molly & Maddie. I get to watch the pups while she gets pictures taken. I'm super excited to see the new studio and even more excited to see the belly shots. I think Sarah is going to do an amazing job!

I used to have coworkers...

Now that my first week of unemployment is about over, I thought I should finally post the pics of my last week at Commerce. In the three years that I worked there, I worked with some great people and made some amazing friends. That meant lots of happy hour fun during my last week!

This is a group of some of the small business specialists in our group. There are nine of us in total, plus my fabulous boss. He showed up a little bit later, but I didn't get him in a pic. He was too busy ordering drinks I guess. This particular happy hour lasted well into reverse happy hour...

Me and Shane... he's the branch specialist in Lee's Summit and probably the one who will take my job now that I'm gone. Shane & I have a special relationship... he once got caught calling me a b*#%! in front of my boss... good thing we all know he was joking. Right Shane??? He pretends to be mean, but I know he's really a good guy deep down. Thanks for picking up all my work after I left Shane!

My favorite girls! Lisa (in the middle) is the reason I joined the small business team. Rebecca (on the left) is one of the smartest and most hilarious people I've ever met. They promised me I'll still be invited to the secret "girls only" meetings at Tom Fooleries.

I've been accused of playing favorites with my branch managers and only helping the ones I'm friends with. Truth be told, I do have favorites. And here they are! Kelly and Hannah got me through some really difficult times at work... and got me through a lot of margaritas after work. Hannah promised I can watch her doggie, Bacon, while she's out of town for her triathalon this summer. And I'm sure we'll have some more margarita dates. I miss you girls!

I'm so lucky to have worked with such great people. They made work fun and I'm going to really miss seeing all of them regularly!
